The Meditation for Grief Group is an online grief support group that goes beyond the standard grief forum. You will learn how to cope with grief and loss through video lessons, guided meditations, journaling prompts , and live group discussions with peers and facilitator Heather Stang. The goal of the grief support group is to help you reduce your grief related suffering -- including physical, emotional, and spiritual distress.
This grief group has both self-paced grief activities as well as scheduled online group sessions. When you join the online grief support group, you will have instant access to all 8 weekly themes based on the Mindfulness & Grief Book which you can complete at your own pace. You will have access to the content for years to come -- so there is no need to hurry.
Members of the group are also invited to join Heather for eight weekly video chats that she facilitates. You can either join via computer or call in via a toll-free number from the United States as well as internationally. Between the weekly calls you can stay connected to Heather and the group via the online grief group forum and our private Facebook group.
After the 8 weekly calls are over, you will be a member of the Mindfulness & Grief Alumnae group, which meets once each month via a drop-in video chat session, which can also be accessed via a toll-free number.
This Online Grief Support Group is a Life Changing Experience
You will learn how to apply meditation, mindful movement, and journaling techniques to manage the changes you are experiencing in your life and in your body since the loss of your loved one. You do not need any previous meditation, yoga, or writing experience to benefit from this program. Most participants of the in-person class report feeling a release of physical tension either during or just after the very first relaxation exercise. By the end of the program, the majority of participants feel they are not only more able to cope with grief-related stress and anxiety, but they are better equipped to cope with life in general.
The support doesn't end after just 8 weeks. You will have access to the content for years to come, and will be part of a special alumnae group with access to a private Facebook group and monthly, drop-in group calls. Our past participants really love the ability to stay connected and support each other through their grief.
